At G.R. Websites, my goal is to provide affordable web design for the northern beaches of Sydney. If you want an online presence for your business but don’t want to mortgage your house to get it, then I can help. I can either SEO (Search Engine Optimize) your existing site, or build you a site from the ground up. I’m not an SEO company specifically, but I do know my way around a website.

Why Do I Need A Website?

Most businesses need a website. These days, customers expect you to have one, almost like they expect you to have a phone.

Your customers want to be able to search your products and services before they come to your premises. If you don’t have a website, they can’t do that and you risk losing them, and the related sales (and referral sales), to competitors who do have a website. It’s that simple.

Your website gives them the information they want – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When they bring up Google on their computer and type in what they are looking for, it is the page of results in front of them that they will be looking at and ultimately, doing business with. As with any website, it needs to be found in search engine results and that is why you need an SEO company.

How Much Does It Cost For a Website?

Having a website built for your business can appear expensive, but it’s all relative.

How much would it cost to pay someone to work around the clock 7 days, fielding all inquiries for you and displaying your products and services? 

Days in a week: 7

Hours in a day: 24

  7 X 24 = 168 hours

At $15 an hour for a minimum-wage employee, you’d be up for 168 hours X $15 per hour = $2520. Per week. Every week.

Considering this, does a one-off $500 – $1000 sound unreasonable for a website? What about an extra couple of hundred for Search Engine Optimization? Are you really going to skimp out on this “cost”?

The real question is, can you afford not to have a website?

I am basically a one-man operation. I will do everything from start to finish, with the exception of booking systems (databases) and custom graphic work. I can arrange for these to be done by others who specialize in those areas though. I’m not an SEO company or web design firm, just a guy with a hobby, who likes to get paid to help people.

My goal is to provide affordable websites and search engine optimization to small businesses that are either unwilling to, or cannot, pay the prices being asked by professional website design companies.

My sites are built on the WordPress platform, meaning once I’m done, you’ll be able to log in to your website and make changes by yourself (with a bit of training). This is called a “CMS” (Content Management System).

So if you’re on the northern beaches of Sydney and are looking for an SEO company or website guy that isn’t corporate,  feel free to contact me.  Speaking plainly, my sites aren’t design masterpieces as far as appearance goes. I will get you up-and-running with a website and from there you might decide to “spruce it up” via a professional designer at a later stage.
